Bhubaneswar, 22 October 2026: Jindal Foundation celebrated Seva Diwas on the birthday of its Honourable Chairperson, Mrs. Shallu Jindal, through a series of humanitarian and community outreach initiatives supporting children, senior citizens, women and young sportspersons across orphanages, old-age homes, villages and special care institutions.
The celebrations brought moments of joy and togetherness to communities. Senior citizens at old-age homes sang devotional bhajans and showered blessings on the Chairperson, while children at children’s homes created rangoli, danced, sang and prayed for her good health and long life. Residents expressed gratitude for the Foundation’s continued support and the time its team members spent with them.
Health and welfare initiatives included special Ayurveda and geriatric health camps for elderly residents, physiotherapy services, general medical check-ups and dry ration support. Menstrual health and hygiene awareness sessions were organised for adolescent girls, and sanitary napkins were distributed to girls from underprivileged families. Special lunches and hot meals were also arranged for children and elderly residents.
In rural communities, women’s groups and village women gathered for prayers, bhajan-kirtan and community celebrations. They expressed heartfelt gratitude for the Foundation’s support in improving their livelihoods. Fruit packets and snacks were distributed among all.
